GOSHEN Students at a local elementary school will have far fewer options about what to wear to school next year.
The Goshen Community School Board approved a standardized dress code for West Goshen Elementary.
Students will have to wear solid-colored collared shirts with sleeves -- like a polo. They can wear whatever they want on the bottom, at least for the first year. However The Elkhart Truth reports the school eventually plans to require black or khaki bottoms and solid-colored sweaters.
In order to help parents who are worried about the cost, the school is starting a "shirt store," where parents can buy and donate used shirts.
Students will be able to dress casually on Fridays.
