A dog left to die on a dead end road is getting a second chance.
Animal Aid of Southwest Michigan hopes to find a home for a pit bull possibly used as bait for fighting.
He was found on Sunday in Benton Township tied to a tree and left to die.
Rescuers believe he was used in training for dog fights and lost.
The dog was taken to Hecht Vetrinary Hospital with an infected and broken leg, which was amputated.
Despite that this pit bull's tail is always wagging. Rescuers say the dog is very friendly and loving.
“He loves to get petted and loves any sort of attention. He just thrives for it. He has a good attitude, loves to run, as much as he can,” says Brandon Hecht from the Hecht Veterinary Hospital.
If you know anything about who hurt this dog Animal Aid of Southwest Michigan is offering a two hundred dollar reward.
