An Indianapolis attorney who was instrumental in bringing the Super Bowl to the city is said to be Notre Dame's choice to become the next athletics director for the Irish.
Jack Swarbrick is a 1976 graduate of the University who later attained his law degree at Stanford. He is a lawyer for the Baker and Daniels firm.
Swarbrick has an extensive background in amateur athletics, having served in several capacities to promote Indianapolis as the amateur athletic capital of the United States.
He's been associated with the Indiana Sports Commission for the past 20 years. He reportedly was in the running to become president of the NCAA before that position went to Dr. Myles Brand.
It's believed that the official announcement will be made on Wednesday at Notre Dame.
