South Bend We all struggle with the question, what should we make for Christmas dinner? And how often have you asked yourself, should we stay in and host a gathering on New Year’s Eve or should we go out?
Well, if you want to treat yourself this holiday season, the Morris Inn at the University of Notre Dame may be able to help you with that.
It's a hotel that just re-opened this year after a more than $30 million renovation. The hotel has made changes both aesthetically and in terms of service and it’s now ready for the holiday season.
This year, the hotel will be open during Christmas and New Year’s and they have decorated accordingly. There are Christmas trees, lights and other décor that helps with getting the in holiday spirit.
On top of that, they have planned holiday activities and dining options that you could enjoy with the family. For example, Breakfast with Santa is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Folks will meet Santa and his elves in the ballroom. There will be a breakfast buffet and other entertainment for the family.
If you miss that, they also have a Holiday Tea starting Monday in Sorin’s. Folks can choose from three different tea options. The first is the Little Sipper. It is $10 and includes apple cider or hot chocolate with assorted treats. You can choose the Traditional Tea for $16 and that includes tea and an assortment of sweet treats. An Afternoon Tea for $24 which includes an assortment of sweet and savory treats or the Champagne Afternoon Tea for $45 which includes that plus Champagne.
