After much anticipation the Winter Olympics finally start Thursday. To help you get in the spirit, Swiss Valley has several opportunities for you and your kids to get out and enjoy the snow.

Swiss Valley Marketing Director Jamie Stafne says this is the best snow they have seen in years and General Manager Jim Wiseman says they have only had to make snow a couple of times because mother nature has done the rest.

Swiss Valley is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For those worried about the expense, they have several discount days. For example, on Tuesdays they have a two for one special on all-day lift, ski and snowboard rentals and lessons. Friday is College ID Day. All you have to do is show a current college ID and get a lift ticket for $16, ski rental $16, snowboard rental $16 and much more.

If you get inspired by the Olympics they also have a wide variety of lessons. For all of that information just go to the Swiss Valley website
