Police in Elkhart were kept busy with two crashes Wednesday.
The Elkhart Truth reports that Bristol Street was closed for about an hour because of a two-car wreck in the 1600 block, just before 2p.m.
A 5-year-old boy was in the backseat of one of the cars, but only had minor injuries to his head. The driver of that car had to be extricated, because the door was caved in, but her injuries were also minor.
Just an hour and a half later, there was a head-on crash on County Road 45, just one mile south of Elkhart City limits.
23-year-old Kyle Lyons crossed the center line, hitting 32-year-old Dalia Resendiz.
Lyons was driving with a suspended a license and without insurance.
The extent of the injuries isn't known.
