Milford Kosciusko County officers have a man in custody, after he allegedly broke into a funeral home.

It all happened early Tuesday morning. Police saw the suspect emerge from a broken window at the Mishler Funeral Home in the 400-block of West County Road 900 North In Milford.

They'd been searching for the man after employees at Katie’s Kwik Mart reported a disturbance involving a man on a yellow motorcycle, outside their store.

Nineteen year old Austin Grindle of Warsaw was arrested. Police believe he had been trying to steal children's DVD movies from inside the funeral home. Grindle is charged with felony burglary of a business.

He was allegedly showing erratic behavior during the arrest, so officers took blood to determine if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Those results are still pending.

Grindle is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail.
