Beacon Health System has partnered with a national program to help teens get an early start on high-tech health jobs.

Beacon Health is providing a $150,000 grant for Elkhart County and St. Joseph County high school students to take courses in the biomedical sciences.

The courses will be offered to schools through “Project Lead the Way," a national organization for math and science.

The grant program will start this fall and go through 2016.

Schools will be considered for the program based on their grant applications to the Northern Indiana Corporate Partnership for Economic Growth.
