If you plan on voting Tuesday, you will have to have a government issued I.D.
In response, Indiana State License branches will stay open extra hours Monday and Tuesday.
The branches will open at 8:30 a.m and close at eight o’clock Monday night.
On Tuesday, they will be open between six a.m and seven p.m.
To get a new I.D, you will need to present a birth certificate or a passport.
You will also need a secondary document which could be a check stub or a signed credit card.
Do not forget a proof of residency, such as a utility bill.
In Michigan voters will also need I.D's when heading to the polls.
It is the first time the photo I.D law has been in effect since it was passed 11 years ago.
However, if you do not have an I.D, you can sign an agreement swearing to your identity.
