Hundreds of people now face the overwhelming task of cleaning up after the tornado in Nappanee.
On the second day after the tornado people are slowing starting to pick up the pieces.
The mayor says the city will probably remain under a state of emergency until Monday since police officers will be needed to secure the area.
In the meantime homeowners have been trying to salvage furniture and appliances.
Crews worked to clear debris from roadways but power lines were still down.
Saturday night State Road 19 south of Nappanee re-opened.
U-S 6 is also back open.
