Topps meat recall due to E-coli contamination

The Topps Meat Company is expanding its recall of frozen hamburger patties that may be contaminated with E-coli.

The New Jersey based company says it is recalling nearly 22 million pounds of ground beef products, which is up from the 332,000 pounds that were recalled earlier this week.

The USDA is looking into 25 cases of suspected E-coli, including one here in Indiana.

The recall includes all Topps products with either a "sell by" or "best if used by" date between September 25th of this year and September 25th, 2008.
