ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- It seems the battle over a local school referendum is coming to drastic measures.

About 100 signs are missing from around Elkhart County just days after they were put up.

The signs, worth about $500, oppose a referendum for Concord Schools.

Organizers of the vote no campaign have reported the incident to police, who say the culprits who took the signs could be charged with theft.

Anyone with tips about the missing signs should report it to the Elkhart County Sheriff's Department.
