It happened near the intersection of U.S. 12 and Hoder Road.

Witnesses say several cars were stopped at a red light, when a semi truck crashed into them from behind.

Harold Redding, 75, of Galien was driving the car in the rear, and died after being taken to the hospital.

His wife was a passenger in the car and was injured, but later released from the hospital.

The impact from the semi caused a chain reaction crash into several other vehicles and a motorcycle at the intersection.

Five other people were taken to the hospital and have now been released.

The driver of the semi truck, David Frost. 66, wasn't injured.

The crash is under investigation.
