A Berrien County crash claimed the life of a motorcyclist Saturday.

William Raymond, 54, of Watervliet had been riding eastbound on Red Arrow Highway when it happened, around 2:30 p.m. His motorcycle collided with an SUV driven by Linda Krcma, 26 where Red Arrow Highway intersects County Line Rd.

Raymond received life threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Police determined that Krcma had been heading south on County Line Rd, and had stopped at the Red Arrow Highway intersection, before continuing forward into the path of Raymond, who wasn’t able to avoid the accident.

Raymond’s daughter had also been riding on his motorcycle, but her injuries were not life-threatening.

Krcma was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office will review the accident and decide if any charges will be filed.
