South Bend Washington star linebacker and running back made his initial decision to play football at Notre Dame with a big press conference in the summer.
After de-committing from the Irish during the season, Perkins took his time in make his final choice. He announced his decision this time in a much more low key manner.
"Official #Buckeye," Perkins wrote on twitter, announcing to the world he'll play for Urban Meyer and Ohio State in the fall.
The choice makes sense for Perkins, who has established relationships with then Notre Dame assistant coaches Tim Hinton and Ed Warinner. Both coaches are now on Meyer's staff at Ohio State.
Perkins' decision is no surprise. He visited Ohio State this weekend and loved it. He couldn't stop tweeting about how much he wanted to get back to Columbus.
His decision becomes official in exactly two weeks on National Signing Day, when he signs on the dotted line. Until then, Perkins could actually switch schools yet again. That's likely not to happen, however.
Perkins led South Bend Washington to the 4A State Finals this season for the first time in nearly four decades. He's expected to play linebacker at Ohio State.
