Riley to re-name gym after late principal Oldham Friday night
On Friday, the gymnasium at Riley High School will be renamed the Algie Oldham gymnasium. Mr. Oldham was Riley's principal from 1982 to 1988 and retired from SBCSC in 1989. He passed away on January 13, 2011.

On Friday, the gymnasium at Riley High School will be renamed the Algie Oldham gymnasium. Mr. Oldham was Riley's principal from 1982 to 1988 and retired from SBCSC in 1989. He passed away on January 13, 2011.
The game Friday evening is Riley's homecoming and a boy / girl varsity basketball doubleheader. The girls game against Penn will begin at 6:00 p.m. The renaming ceremony will be held between the two games at approximately 7:30 p.m. The boys varsity game against Penn will begin after the ceremony. Homecoming festivities will be held at halftime of the boys game.
On February 22, 2011 the Board of School Trustees passed a resolution commemorating the Riley High School gymnasium for Algie Oldham.
