Chicago-based company is looking to build a wind farm in central Indiana.
The Kokomo Tribune reported this week (http://bit.ly/qFRycI ) that E-on Climate & Renewables filed paperwork inTipton seeking local plan commission approval of its Wildcat Wind Farm.
The company hopes to begin building 125 wind turbines in Tipton County by the end of the year. The complete project could span Grant, Howard, Madison and Tipton counties.
E-on plans to create 150 jobs during construction and four to six permanent full-time jobs when the wind farm is complete.
A public hearing on the company's request is scheduled for Aug. 22 at the Tipton County 4-H Fairgrounds community building.
