A new film contest is challenging young people in Michigan to answer a simple question: What does it mean to be green?
The "Show Green" competition is open to any student 19 or under. Students are to submit their ideas about what it means to be green in 90 seconds or less, using any style of short film.
Submissions are due June 1.
Winners will be announced on the Internet with first place, second place and runners-up awarded cash prizes and/or new Flip cameras.
Awards will be given in two age groups: under 12 and 12 to 19.
The competition is the brainchild of Energy Works Michigan, a program of Recycle Ann Arbor.
Recycle Ann Arbor is a nonprofit and leader in recycling and waste programs.
