Indiana and Michigan get money for green jobs

States like Indiana and Michigan will soon be seeing $100 million to retain workers for “green” jobs.

The Labor Department awarded the grants Wednesday as part of the federal stimulus package.

It comes a day after the Norwegian car company Th!nk announced they’ll build their new line of electric cars in Elkhart.

The project will bring 415 green jobs to the city with a heart in the next three years.

Of the $100 million, $28 million will go toward restructuring the auto industry with a heavy emphasis on Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
