Here's a look at what's new on DVD this week:
"WALL-E" rolls home on DVD. WALL-E is the adorable little robot that stars in the Pixar animated movie. He's charged with cleaning up the mess on Earth even after humanity has abandoned the polluted planet. The film comes in one or three-disc versions, on both standard and Blu-ray releases. A documentary on Pixar is offered in the multidisc sets.
"Tropic Thunder" is Ben Stiller's send-up of action movies. He co-wrote, directed and stars with Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black in the action comedy. They're part of a gang of self-important actors whose Vietnam War shoot turns into real combat with a ruthless drug gang in the jungles of Asia. Stiller's unrated director's cut, with 14 minutes of additional footage, is available in a two-disc DVD set and in the Blu-ray release. The R-rated theatrical version comes in a single-disc DVD.
"The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" reunites America Ferrera, Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel and Blake Lively. This time around, the four are off on their own at college, while trying to maintain the connection to their old pals. The DVD and Blu-ray versions come with deleted footage accompanied by commentary, a gag reel and a featurette on how the movie's final scene was developed.
"Heathers" is back with a 20th anniversary edition. The high school black comedy stars Winona Ryder, Christian Slater and Shannen Doherty. Ryder is a cool chick who hangs with the popular clique, a trio of teens named Heather. A boxed set shaped like a miniature school locker packs a two-disc DVD version and the Blu-ray debut of the movie.
This week's TV on DVD releases include "Hannah Montana: The Complete First Season," "Star Trek: The Original Series -- Season Three," "The Complete Monty Python's Flying Circus: Collector's Edition," "Doctor Who: The Complete Fourth Series," and "The Odd Couple: The Final Season."
