State investigating reports Indy teacher cheated

School officials in Indianapolis have suspended a high school teacher accused of helping students cheat on a standardized test.

WTHR-TV reports that the Indiana Department of Education is investigating the incident at Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School. The station says the school suspended the teacher with pay this week while the state investigates allegations that he students a practice test ahead of time that contained some of the actual questions from the algebra assessment.

Students can't graduate without first passing the test.

Sixty-two students have to re-take the test.

Officials also are investigating reported cheating on a biology
test at Indianapolis North Central High School.

WTHR reports that at least 15 cases of cheating by teachers have
been reported across the state.
