Two northern Indiana schools have won a $200,000 grant for innovative classroom projects that promotes education through technology.

Plymouth and Rochester Community Schools have received the grants from the Indiana Department of Education.

Rochester says it will use the grant to give all second graders at Columbia Elementary School an iPad to keep with them at school and home.

Teachers will be provided a MacBook Pro and professional development beginning this Spring and Summer to build content to support student learning.

Plymouth will be using Mac OS X servers, to start a learning instruction podcast so students can take it home and better understand the material.
