Healthy, easy school lunches that aren't boring

When it comes to school lunches, the same old thing can be boring.

Elise Kunkel from Martin’s School of Cooking joined 16 Morning News to show some easy, healthy meals to put in your child’s lunch.

From homemade boost bars, to kids sushi and pizza muffins, Elise has several ideas that will keep your child energized through the day.

  • Lunch idea #1: Kids Sushi Wrap-- with edamame, mandarin oranges and a fortune cookie
  • Lunch idea #2: Pizza Muffin Bites--with string cheese, red/yellow/orange peppers with dip and kiwis & blackberries
  • Lunch idea #3: Super Boost Bars--with a pretzel kabob roll-up, pretzel cup with hummus and strawberries with strawberry cream cheese
