GEM Car helps students see dangers of driving distracted

Students usually get to experience the dangers of drunk driving through a textbook in health class, but one experiment helps students learn what can happen first hand.

The GEM car is an all-electric, green car.

Students can drive the car while wearing special goggles that simulate being intoxicated.

They can also experience the drastic impact that texting and other distractions can have on driving.
