Some Mishawaka students are gearing up in a big way for their I-Step tests.
Students and teachers at Twin Branch Model School are holding an I-Step pep rally. They are using the popular television show “Deal or No Deal” to help the students remember good test-taking tips.
Briefcases hold positive and negative testing tips.
The school staff is hoping to get kids in a positive mindset while they take their tests.
Mickey Roelandts, the principal at Twin Branch, explains that “the kids get a kick out of seeing teachers perform, relax, and be fun.”
"So that way you're up to it and not nervous about it,” said Nathan Lietzan, a student at Twin Branch, explaining how the pep rally is helpful before the test.
I-Step testing starts on Tuesday and runs through next Thursday.
