New Buffalo's school board will be meeting Monday night and the possible creation of a new scholarship could be on the table.
The board is looking into making a "Promise Program" using casino money for students in the district who hope to attend college.
The program would grant $5,000 a year for 5 years to graduating New Buffalo high school students.
Funds from the local revenue sharing board would pay for the scholarships.
The school board is just in the talking phases of the Promise Program, but more could be decided at Monday's meeting.
