The Transportation Department rolled out new school bus safety guidelines Wednesday.

Some of the requirements include larger seat backs to keep children from being thrown around in accidents, and three-point seat belts on smaller school buses.

The new safety rules go into effect in 2011. Only new buses will be affected.
