A student group at Lake Superior State University has announced a program next week to help people expand their travel horizons by obtaining U.S. passports or passport cards.

The Students in Free Enterprise chapter at Lake Superior State holds a passport fair Dec. 1 on the Sault Ste. Marie campus. It runs from 3:30-7 p.m. at the Walker Cisler Center's East Superior Room.

The U.S. requires a passport or passport card to enter the
country.

Event organizer Cera Josephsen says the fair is open to Lake Superior State students, faculty and staff, and to area residents.

Josephsen says the first 30 students get up to $7 off the photo price and $40 off the total price of the passport, thanks to a student government contribution.
