This year's Indiana Mr. Science is a Terre Haute South Vigo High School senior who's headed to Harvard after scoring a perfect 2400 on his SAT.
Gov. Mitch Daniels visited the western Indiana city Wednesday to present Joseph Botros with the award recognizing Indiana's top high school talent in science.
Botros is a National Merit Scholarship finalist and was among a group of students invited to the White House last October to meet President Obama. He has a 4.0 grade point average and is ranked first in his graduating class of 362.
Botros was selected from among more than 200 candidates by a panel of high school teachers, university faculty, Indiana Department of Education staff and science professionals.
