Michigan State police are investigating a Michiana school after the board reported money missing, according to our reporting partners at WSJM.
School board members at Covert Schools say money went missing during former Superintendent Stephanie Burrage's tenure.
They say general fund money was used to pay off debt on a project that the school had already received funding for.
School officials say the project was being done by a company owned by Burrage's brother.
Burrage resigned from the district back in August.
