Although not at the 90 percent goal, state percentiles are up.

State Superintendent Tony Bennett set the bar high for Indiana schools in 2009 with aims for a 90 percent graduation rate.

The average graduation rate for Indiana schools is up to 84 percent, a two and a half percentage jump from the previous year.

A total of 133 or 36 percent of all schools are above the ninety percent graduation rate.

With 43 percent of schools are between eighty and ninety percent, only 21 percent of schools are below eighty percent.

The South Bend Community School Corporation had only one of it’s schools land above the state average

  • Clay High School – 81 percent

  • Adams High School – 76 percent

  • Riley High School – 77 percent
  • Washington High School – 87 percent
  • Other schools in the area:

    • Mishawaka High School – 79 percent

    • Penn High School – 87 percent

    • Laville Junior-Senior High School – 85 percent
