Ethan is an ambitious, energetic 6-year-old. This summer he used his energy to run through eight acres of woods on his grandparent’s property. It was for good reason though; Ethan, his twin brother Isaac and their dad Eric were all on a hike in the woods at the edge of the property. That’s when Eric stepped into a gopher hole and dislocated his knee.

Eric couldn’t move and they didn’t have a cell phone. Ethan and his brother took it upon themselves to run all the way back to the house to get help.

When Ethan arrived he threw himself on the ground and spread out his arms and legs to show his mom and grandpa that dad was hurt.

Not long after, they found Eric and his father-in-law helped him pop his joint back into place.

Ethan’s bravery and courage to do the right thing makes him an example of someone worthy of this award.

Ethan likes to ride bikes and go to the library. He also likes super heroes.
