If you're having a hard time finding an apartment rental, you're not alone.

Apartment renters are facing fewer vacancies and rising rates.

According to data tracker MPF Research's latest report, only about a quarter of all apartments nationwide offered some type of concession in last year's fourth quarter.

Back in the first quarter of 2010, 53 percent of apartments were offering concessions.

An analyst for MPF Research says until apartment construction catches up with demand, landlords will maintain control of the market.
