The economic pie is growing again, and our nation is producing more goods and services than it did before the slump began in 2007. We're doing that with six million fewer workers.

The labor department says businesses have learned how to do business with fewer people. It's a trend that's friendly to the company's bottom line.

The economic growth is good for companies, but the share of that growth going to American workers is at a record low.

Of every dollar of income that's earned, just $0.44 goes to worker's wages. That's the smallest share since the government started keeping track in 1947.
