With the holiday season approaching, many retailers are looking at maintaining or even reducing shipping costs.
One of the big reasons for the potential price drop: many retailers say they can't afford to put off shoppers with high shipping costs.
They say they'll just have to eat the higher costs shippers are charging them.
At the same time, many shippers add fuel surcharges to their basic costs, but are seeking ways to keep their charges down.
