Your favorite movie is coming out on DVD. Do you wait to buy the disk or hold out until it's available to download online? Now you don't have to choose.
Apple says new movies from a batch of major studios will now be available on iTunes the same day they're released on DVD. The change will increase the number of new titles available at iTunes -- and will put the online retailer in better position to compete with those who sell DVD's.
Until now, newer titles have been available for rental through iTunes, but users usually had to wait 30 days until after the DVD release to get their hands on those films.
Among the titles available this week under the new program are "American Gangster," "Juno," "I Am Legend," and "There Will Be Blood."
