American Airlines issues warning about e-mail scam

If you get an e-mail from American Airlines that says you purchased tickets to go somewhere and you really didn't, it could be a scam.

American Airlines says they have had hundreds of phone calls about this. They say they are fraudulent e-mails.

American says do not click on any links, open any attachments, call any phone numbers that are listed, or follow any instructions in the e-mail.

They ask that you forward the e-mail along with the header to, so they can investigate.

The airline says they are working with law enforcement to find out who is behind this and shut down their operations.
