Hannah Montana boots recalled for being trip hazard

These boots were made for walking. But it's what some of the boots have done to Hannah Montana fans that has the government issuing a recall for them.

The jewel-encrusted boots for girls were sold in Payless shoe stores. And the Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a voluntary recall of the shoes, with the cooperation of Payless.

The Chinese-made boots have guitar-shaped zipper pulls and the CPSC says those pulls can get tangled in each other while a child is walking, causing the user to trip and fall.

Payless says it has gotten five reports of kids getting their zipper pulls tangled.

One case resulted in a 4-year-old girl falling and skinning her knees.

There were about 100,000 pairs of boots sold. Anyone who bought them should take them from their children and return them to the store where they were bought.
