ASOTV: Big Top Cookie

Does your valentine love cookies? Do they love really big cookies? If so, we may have the perfect cookie maker for you.

This thing claims to make cookies 25 times larger than your typical cookie. It is called the Big Top Cookie.

It is silicone cookware that allows you to make one enormous cookie, enough to feed the whole family and something the whole family may enjoy helping you make.

But would the big top cookie crumble in our As Seen on TV test?

There are many types of Big Top Cookies that you can make and we have decided to make the chocolate chip with the mint chip ice filling. Each mold is rubbery but has a silicone layer on it so even though it's rubber you can put it in the oven. You are just not supposed to exceed 464 degrees. You are only supposed to use pre-made cookie mix in these molds. You are not supposed make your own and put it in there.

You buy the pre-made mix and each mold holds about sixteen ounces. I bought the super size that about 32 ounces that should do the trick. Before you get started you want to make sure that you spray each mold with non-stick cooking spray. So, we will just cut this in half and all you do is put it in the mold completely and evenly.

Ok, we have our molds filled. Now, we just turn on our oven to 350 degrees and pop it in for about 35 minutes. I think we have big cookies looking awfully good. Now, you're supposed to put them on a wire screen. It's cool to the touch on the rubber and you let it set about a half an hour. Perhaps you'll want to put them in the refrigerator for an hour or so to firm them up before you take them out of the mold. Just flip it over like so and be somewhat gingerly when you remove the mold. Let's see how this turns out. Hey, we got a cookie on one side. Before we put the other side of the cookie, the top on, we get to fill it with the mint chip ice cream.

Now, we'll take the second half our delicious creation, flip it over...hey, look at that.
The big top cookie comes with this small scribbler, you can fill it with something delicious like whipped cream. We decided to use cake frosting.

So nothing says I love you on Valentine's Day like an enormous chocolate chip, mint ice
cream filled cookie that must have a zillion calories to it. But how does it taste? Now, the best way to cut it is using a serrated knife. Let's give it a taste… it is delicious! And the best thing about it is that it comes from the heart and it's going to get the thumbs up.

I paid $15 for the Big Top Cookie at Bed, Bath and Beyond. It can be found in a lot of stores and on the internet.

Next week, we are sticking with our big baking theme. This time, we are making a big donut.

It is called the Big Top Donut.

Like the Big Top Cookie, you make it using silicone cookware, and yes, it claims to be 25 times larger than your average donut.

But would the Big Top Donut get dunked in our As Seen on TV test? Tune in to find out.
