Halloween starts early at South Bend's Potawatomi Zoo with the annual Zoo Boo this weekend.
The Halloween tradition offers kids a safe place to trick-or-treat and see the animals.
Area businesses join in on the fun by passing out candy.
"It's very popular every year that we do it, just seems to grow bigger and bigger," said Laura Arriaga, a general curator for the Potawatomi Zoo.
Zoo Boo is from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights. Little Zoo Boo, for kids seven and under, runs from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Admission is $7.50 for adults, $5.50 for kids and members get in free.
