If you love jumping from the really cold beach to the really cold water then you are in luck.

There is a mass dip in Lake Michigan coming up this month in St. Joe.

Our partners at WSJM report the Silver Beach Polar Bear Plunge is scheduled for the 29th. The event is being put on by the Berrien County Democratic Women.

The point is not only to bond with your fellow dare devils but also to bring in clothing donations for local children.

Just bring a donation of a coat, gloves or boots with you on the day. If you want to stay dry, you can donate the items at locations around the county starting Monday.

Items can be dropped off starting Monday at the YMCA of Benton Harbor, St. Joe, the South Shore Health and Racquet Club, Sherwin Williams in downtown St. Joseph and the New Moon Gallery in Benton Harbor.

The Polar Bear Plunge starts at 2 p.m. on January 29. Afterward, participants can gather at Silver Beach Pizza at the heated patio bar until 5 p.m.
