This year’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month has been filled with a lot of fundraisers supporting the cause.

One unique fundraiser was by the Boardwalk Tattoo Shop in Bristol. They gave out pink ribbon tattoos in exchange for at least a $10 donation.

As of Friday afternoon, the shop had done more than 400 tattoos.

Some people are getting these tattoos because they or someone they know had battled breast cancer. One man getting tattooed mentioned he was getting it for his mother-in-law, who lost her battle with breast cancer. Others are getting the tattoos just to show their support.

The shop said Friday afternoon they were not sure how much money they had raised since they had been so busy.

If tattoos are not your thing, the shop said they will take straight out donations as well. The donations collected are going to support breast cancer research.

South Town Tattooing is also giving out pink ribbon tattoos in exchange for donations.
