A Polar Bear Plunge planned for this weekend in St. Joseph has been postponed.
Our partners at WSJM report organizers made the decision for safety reasons. With the waves and possibility of an undertow or ripe tide, they thought it would be better to hold off.
Organizers say all the winter gear collected for needy children in connection with the plunge will still be donated to kids around Benton Harbor.
An announcement will be made when the event is rescheduled.
