A new Boys and Girls Club will be built in a rather convenient Benton Harbor location.

The new center will be located directly across the street from the Benton Harbor High School and will house a large gymnasium, game room and computer lab.

High school students can currently go to the Charles Gray Center further up the street.

Officials believe attendance will triple at the new location.

"We are right across the street from our main target audience when it comes to teens, the ninth to twelfth,” said Liji Hanny of the Boys and Girls Club. “We've been located in Charles Gray Teen and for us to go across the street is really a dream come true for our organization."

The new building should be finished by the Fall of 2012.
