Clay High School’s Mad Dash Charity Drive was postponed due to the poor weather conditions.
Boxes full of 28,000 cans of donated food were already stacked up and ready to go in the school lobby.
School leaders postponed the dash until Wednesday, when students will try and collect some 50,000 more from 5PM to 10 PM.
Food pick-up has also moved, now taking place Thursday morning between 8 AM and 11 AM.
This marks the first delay in the dash's 34 year history.
