South Bend's Logan Center turned 60 on Sunday.
An ice cream social was held at the Center on Sunday, marking six decades of service and support for people with mental disabilities right here in the community.
Hundreds of people showed up throughout the afternoon for ice cream, classic cars, games, prizes, and face painting.
The retro themed party was a way to say, “thank you,” to Michiana while letting attendees have a great time.
“It’s just so neat because we've got our new families out here, our young families, we've got some of our original founders here,” said Ann Lagomarcino, Director of Marketing for Logan Center. “It’s a real blend of people and just people from the community that have come in to celebrate Logan. It's been great.”
Logan Center is dedicated to offering resources and opportunities to people with disabilities.
