It was free holiday fun for the family all in Downtown South Bend.

Santa went to the College Football Hall of Fame again Saturday, where kids got a chance to meet him and sit on his lap.

Inside, there was cookie decorating and coloring for all, along with gingerbread houses to be judged next week.

Downtown South Bend Inc, spokeswoman Julie Curtis said, "Everybody is so excited. How could you not be happy, when you're talking with Santa and decorating cookies? It's great for the community, it's a great way to get people out and bring them to downtown."

Santa was outside the Hall of Fame until 6 p.m.

You can catch him Sunday, from noon until 4 p.m. and every weekend until Christmas Eve.

The event is free.
