South Bend is giving you the chance to unlock the mysteries and stories hidden within the city's historic buildings.
The "Then & Now: A Downtown South Bend Architecture Walking Tour" will cover over a half-dozen city blocks starting at the All-American Plaza and ending near the Century Center.
You'll learn about 20 different historical buildings and sites.
There are two tour dates: July 30 at 7 p.m. and August 6 at 8 p.m. The July tour is prior to the outdoor movie screening of "Vertigo" on the College Football Hall of Fame's Gridiron. The August tour is during Downtown South Bend, Inc.'s First Friday and "Dog Days of Summer" events. Tour participants are encouraged to bring their dogs along the tour.
It is free and open to the public, but you must make a reservation at least three days prior to the event. Call Downtown South Bend, Inc. at 282-1110 to reserve your spot.
