We're just a few days into summer break, are your kids already complaining about being bored? They certainly have no excuse Friday because there are a ton of family-friendly events in South Bend!

The June edition of "First Fridays" celebrates 150 years of baseball with the Silver Hawks game, fireworks and more.

You can also stop by downtown for live music, art gallery receptions, a classic car cruise, and dinner specials at local businesses. The return of Meet Me on the Island is also happening at the Century Center.

Festivities get underway at 5 p.m. Officials say "First Fridays" are fun family events.

"We've been doing this now for over a year and it’s been a great way to get people out and down you know downtown and experiencing what we have to offer down here in the way of the many restaurants and shops and things that we have," says Michele Kastner, DTSB Promotions and Special Events Coordinator.
