There's plenty happening all across Michiana on Thursday and through the weekend.
- Kiss Me Kate:
The South Bend Community School Corporation will be presenting Cole Porter's "Kiss Me Kate" Thursday through Saturday. The production involves more than 120 students from the area. All performances will be at the Clay High School auditorium on Darden Road, starting at 7 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
- Water’s Edge Summer Music Festival:
You can enjoy the sounds of summer with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra’s Water’s Edge Summer Music Festival. Tonight, the symphony will be having it’s casual classic series at the Heritage Museum and Cultural Center in St. Joseph, Michigan. It starts at 6 p.m. and will be a tribute concert to Spanish cellist Pablo Casals. The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra is a 60-piece orchestra featuring musicians from all over Michiana and Chicago.
- Mishawaka Summerfest:
The 25th annual Mishawaka Summerfest kicks off this afternoon at Merrifield Park. The time-honored tradition goes on through the weekend. It will include many of the same events you’ve come to love, including games, rides, fireworks, food vendors and free, open-air concerts. It starts at 5:30 p.m. Thursday night, runs from 12-11 p.m. on Friday, and all day Saturday. For more information on Summerfest, click on the Big Red Bar.
